An Important Message from our Chairman regarding COVID-19 and OCRP Campaign Efforts

Dear fellow Republican Delegate,

First, and foremost, in these times, I hope that you and your loved ones are well!

With that said, as you can imagine, there are changes to our schedule and procedures regarding our county convention in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are living in challenging times that ask each of us to sacrifice our daily routines in order to quell the spread of the virus. As your County Chairman, I am taking this very seriously but also staying calm while following the guidelines which the CDC and President Trump have laid out for us.

We will still hold our County Convention on March 26th, but our convention will be held by WebX conference on the internet – as well as by telephone conference for those who do not have internet accessibility. We will be sending out information to precinct delegates with direct instructions on how to participate by Tuesday, March 24th. Please look for an email, or call, this week, outlining how your individual Sub-Caucuses will proceed on March 26th.

During this difficult time, we ask that you stay in touch and involved with the County Party and check our website and like our facebook page for information and updates. Additionally, we encourage you to support your local candidates online and with social media to help them spread their message.

Until we’re through with this crisis, we encourage you to keep your social distances to keep you and your family healthy and safe. I also urge you to check in on our seniors and those afflicted with other illnesses who are the most vulnerable populations and susceptible to contracting COVID-19. We should do all we can to help them during this difficult time.

Finally, we encourage you to donate to the Oakland County Republican Party so we can continue to support our local candidates online and insure that our candidates are successful in November.
