days to save Michigan.

Our kids are counting on you. Go vote!

Huron Valley needs a fresh start.

Kyle Lloyd of Milford is the only candidate in this race who isn’t already on the board. He’s running to promote excellence and bring back transparency. On Tuesday, Nov. 3, flip your ballot over and vote:

One race. One name. Don’t skip it.

Straight-ticket voting covers the front of your ballot only. The Huron Valley School Board race is on the back, and school board races are often decided by a few hundred votes.

6-year term: vote for only Kyle B. Lloyd. You may choose up to 2, but every extra name you mark is a vote for someone else and can cost Kyle B. Lloyd the seat.

Sample for illustration. Names follow the county clerk’s candidate list; the order on your ballot may differ.1

Meet our candidate

The only newcomer on the Huron Valley ballot, running for excellence and transparency.

Kyle Lloyd

6-year term
Milford resident · The only newcomer on the ballot

I’m Kyle Lloyd, and I’m running for the Huron Valley School Board because I believe our students, families, and community deserve the best, and they deserve a board that leads with excellence and transparency.13

“Promote excellence and bring back transparency.”
  • Student success: high-quality teaching, strong programs and the resources students need
  • Fiscal responsibility: smart decisions with taxpayer dollars
  • Transparency and accountability: a board that listens to the community

Promote excellence. Bring back transparency.

Kyle’s five priorities for Huron Valley schools.13

Student success

Support high-quality teaching, strong programs, and the resources our students need to thrive.

    Safe & supportive schools

Ensure every student feels safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.

      Fiscal responsibility

Make smart decisions with taxpayer dollars and prioritize long-term sustainability.

        Transparency & accountability

Open communication, clear processes, and a board that listens to our community.

          Stronger community partnerships

Work together with families, staff, and local partners to build a stronger Huron Valley.

            The union’s incumbents

The MEA, the statewide teachers union, recommended both incumbents, Denise Pistana and Thomas Wiseman.3

Kyle is up against the massive MEA teacher union machine. This is a machine that is supporting radical candidates like proud socialist felon William Lawrence and terrorist sympathizer Abdul El-Sayed. When you vote for Kyle, you are taking a stand and saying that radical unions should not be using our children as pawns for their political agenda. Instead, we should have someone who is actually looking out for the needs of our students.

They voted to put a new tax on your ballot

On Feb. 9, 2026, Treasurer Wiseman moved, and Secretary Pistana voted for, a resolution asking Oakland Schools to put a 1.5-mill, six-year countywide enhancement millage on the Aug. 4 ballot, which would have raised about $5.5 million a year for Huron Valley Schools. It passed 4-3; Trustees Ryan, Grzymkowski and Dimick voted no. Oakland County voters rejected the tax, 51.01% to 48.99%.4,6,5
